Bridge Farmhouse Holiday Cottage is a superb holiday home dating from the 17th century, located in the village of Michaelchurch Escley. Providing a gateway to the Herefordshire Marches and Brecon Beacons, it is minutes from the local pub, only 9 miles from Hay-on-Wye and 15 miles from Hereford. Ideal for families or groups, the house sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms, with space for 3 additional children if required, and 2 well-behaved dogs welcome.
The farmhouse retains beautiful original beamed ceilings, oak panelled walls and traditional flagstone floors. The lounge has a warming log burning stove in the inglenook fireplace and the fully-equipped farmhouse kitchen features an Aga, Rangemaster cooker and large dining table. Wifi is available throughout the property. The rear door from the kitchen leads to a lovely patio area with a large hot tub, pizza oven and full size table tennis table.
All spacious, 3 of the bedrooms can be made up with super king or twin beds, whilst the remaining room has a king size bed. There is a TV and radio in each room and a cot is available. Guests will also find 4 modern bathrooms and 5 WCs. Wifi is available throughout the property. The holiday home includes an enclosed garden and there is ample on-site car parking. The local area is rural and excellent for exploring, walking, cycling and horse riding.
Black Mountains Distillery is located to the rear of Bridge Farmhouse and The Bridge Inn pub is close by, with a food menu and wide selection of drinks, including local ales. Michaelchurch Escley is a small village situated in the foothills of the Black Mountains, surrounded by beautiful countryside. Home to a number of interesting historic buildings, including the 12th-century St. Michael's Church, there is also a village shop and post office.
