The Generals Cottage

The General’s Cottage is a charming detached stone cottage located in the beautiful Wye Valley, in Penallt. Nestled in a secluded woodland clearing close to the river, there are many lovely walks to be enjoyed from the doorstep. Offering self-catering facilities for up to 4 adults, this provides a quiet escape for holidays.

The guest quarters occupy the first floor, where visitors can enjoy views across the valley. There is a lounge with dual-aspect windows, sofas, a wood burning stove, TV and dining table; a well-equipped kitchen; 2 double bedrooms and a bathroom. Wifi access and central heating are provided throughout the house.

Outside, there is a lovely garden with a seating area and parking for 2 cars. There are also 2 pubs close by serving a food menu and local drinks. Monmouth is only 4 miles away by road offering excellent amenities and attractions. The Wye Valley, Forest of Dean and surrounding area provides much to do and see.
