Welcome to Cragwood Guesthouse, a delightful late 19th century townhouse located in the middle of Keswick, with characterful features including a traditional Lakeland stone exterior, bay windows and cast-iron fireplace. The house is a short walk from the River Greta, town centre amenities and disused Keswick to Threlkeld railway line for cyclists and walkers. Hosts Emma and Sean provide a very warm welcome.

The 4 bedrooms are thoughtfully furnished and individually named. Skiddaw and Latrigg offer views across their respective mountains, and Walla Crag has views to the crag and Maiden Moor. Catbells is a cosy south-facing double. Each room is en suite, with local toiletries, TV, Wifi, USB charging, hairdryer and beverage tray. A tasty Cumbrian breakfast is included, with lighter bites and options for special diets available.

Keswick is a bustling market town surrounded by mountains. Keswick Museum and the leisure centre are a short hop over the bridge, and there are plenty of restaurants, pubs and tea rooms in the town. The Cumberland Pencil Museum is worth a visit, and the Keswick Museum and Art Gallery displays local artefacts. Derwent Water Lake is located to the south of town, with boat tours and the popular Theatre by the Lake.
