Roman Wall Lodges Camping, situated along the historic Hadrian’s Wall Path in Cumbria, offers camping pitches and facilities for visitors to the area. Situated between the villages of Monkhill and Beaumont, only 4 miles outside Carlisle, this site is also conveniently located for the Sustrans Cycle Route 72.

Catering for backpackers and groups, with dogs also welcome, there is a services cabin featuring 2 bathrooms, an additional WC, communal living room with table and chairs, and a library of books and information. There are also drying facilities, pot washing sinks, plus gas, wood and charcoal for firepits.

Buses to Carlisle and the Solway Coast stop just along the main road. There is also a pub a short walk away from the site which serves a food menu. A 2000-year-old city steeped in history, Carlisle has plenty of excellent attractions, including a castle, cathedral and museums, plus a selection of good amenities.
