Ees Wyke Country House

Ees Wyke Country House is an elegant Georgian house offering luxury accommodation in Near Sawrey, a small village in the English Lake District, once a holiday home of Beatrix Potter. Beautifully situated on high ground overlooking Esthwaite Water, we take pride in our personal service, delightful accommodation and our awards for breakfast and an AA rosette for dinner, and entries in the Good Hotel Guide.

We have nine spacious en-suite bedrooms with TV and Tea/Coffee making facilities, many offer guests stunning views across the Water to Coniston Old man round to the Langdale Pikes and extensive woodland of Grizedale Forest. A hearty Lakeland breakfast is served in our elegant dining room, perfect to set you up for a day exploring the Lake District's many attractions and walks.

There are many walks from the house, from the easy and relaxing to the slightly more challenging. The house is just a short walk to Hill Top where Beatrix Potter made her home and wrote many of her Peter Rabbit books.
