The Wellington Inn and Caravan Park is a family-owned touring site situated in the village of Great Orton, near Carlisle. Open year-round and set in the grounds of a country pub, the location provides an excellent base from which to explore the Solway Coast, Lake District and Pennines, or as a stopover en route to or from Scotland.
Accommodating caravans, motorhomes and campervans, there are 10 hardstanding pitches with electric hook-up, and picnic benches dotted around the site. The facilities include chemical toilet disposal and drinking water points. Please note that there are no showering facilities and tents are not accepted. Pets are welcome.
The inn is open to all for great food and local ales, with regular live music nights. There is a children’s play area for the younger guests. The Cumberland Bird of Prey Centre, Watchtree Nature Reserve and The Racecourse are all a short drive away, and Gretna Green is only 20-minutes by road. The M6 is also within easy reach.
