On the western shore of Coniston Water and boasting panoramic views across the lake, Coniston Hall Campsite is only a mile outside Coniston village, off the A593, and features its own jetty to launch boats and canoes. Catering for tents and motorhomes, this is an idyllic setting for adventures in the Lake District.

The camping field, overshadowed by the Old Man of Coniston fells, has no marked pitches so guests can choose where to set up. Children and dogs are welcome. Facilities include toilets, showers, a launderette with coin-operated machines and small shop selling everyday essentials. Canoes and boats can be hired.

Coniston village provides independent shops, pubs selling real ales and places to eat. There is also the Ruskin Museum, Usher Miniature Village and Coniston Sports Centre. The gondola terminal is close by for a tour across the lake in a Victorian steam-powered boat. The area is popular for a range of outdoors pursuits.
