Gowan Bank Farm

Gowan Bank Farm would like to present 2 charming self-catering cottages and a shepherd’s hut nestled on a 350-acre working beef and sheep farm in the Lake District. Located near the village of Ings, just 3 miles to the east of Windermere, in a quiet and rural setting, this is an excellent base for a holiday break in the Lakes.

Guests can choose to stay in Gowan Bank Cottage, sensitively converted from the former stables, which sleeps 2 people in a king size en suite bedroom; or Stone Barn Cottage which sleeps 2 to 4 guests in a king size en suite bedroom and also has space for a camp bed. Both properties can be booked together for groups of up to 6 if required.

Each cottage has a fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, as well as an open plan living area with wood burning stove and TV, plus there is central heating and Wifi. The traditional shepherd’s hut for 2 has a double bed, wood burning stove, kitchenette and TV. Please see the website for more details about the accommodation.
