Hut in the Sheep Wash is a cosy shepherd’s hut for 2 people, offering a cosy setting in a quiet and secluded location, on the edge of the Lake District, near Ulverston. Set in a field alongside a river once used to wash the sheep (hence the name), guests can relax whilst listening to the water flow past and enjoy wildlife-watching.

Inside the hut is a full-sized double bed which is made up prior to arrival, plus a foldaway table and 2 chairs, well-equipped kitchenette with gas hob, grill, sink and kettle; plus a log burning stove, en suite wash room with an eco loo, wash basin and gas-powered shower; with solar-powered sockets and a welcome pack to make breakfast.

Outside, visitors will find a table and chairs, barbeque and firepit. Dogs are allowed with prior agreement and special rates for short breaks are available during the week from October to March. Coniston Water is close by for those who enjoy walking and boating and Ulverston has shops, restaurants and the Laurel and Hardy Museum.
