8 Duke Street is a characterful holiday cottage nestled in the ancient Cornish market town of Launceston, in a quieter part of town, within the historic parish of St Stephens, only a 2 minute walk from Launceston Golf Club and 6 minutes’ drive from the A30 road. Family and pet-friendly, the cottage sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms, with a maximum of 2 dogs per stay allowed. Launceston is in an ideal location for a holiday, close to the Cornwall / Devon border and within easy reach of excellent amenities and attractions, both in the town and beyond.

On the ground floor, the cottage provides a hallway with storage for coats and shoes. Just off the hall is a newly-refurbished full bathroom and door to the garden. The ground floor features a mostly open plan layout, with slate flooring in the kitchen and lounge where guests will also find a cosy wood burning stove. Stairs in the kitchen lead up to 2 good-sized bedrooms; a double and a king / twin as preferred. TV and Wifi are provided. Outside, is a patio, pergola, BBQ and lawned area. At the front is on-street parking and a gate to the rear garden.

Launceston sits high on a hillside, boasting stunning views across the Tamar Valley into Devon. Once the only walled town in Cornwall, it retains its old Norman castle and parts of the town wall, including the Southgate Arch. The town’s narrow winding streets provide independent shops, cafés, restaurants and takeaways. Some of the many attractions include the Launceston Steam Railway, Hidden Valley Discovery Park, Lawrence House Museum, Treguddick Distillery, St Mary Magdalene Church and the historic Polson Bridge.
