Steele's Mill

Steele’s Mill is a Georgian watermill which has been converted into a superb holiday cottage, nestled alongside the River Lyvennet, in the small farming village of Kings Meaburn, about 10 miles from Penrith. Spanning 3 floors, with many original features still visible, this superb property sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms. Cyclists and walkers are welcome and guests have exclusive access to private double bank fishing for brown trout on the river. Dogs are allowed at the cottage and there is stabling and livery facilities for horses.

Visitors will find a ground floor kitchen with the original mill workings featured behind a glass case, as well as a rangemaster cooker in the stone alcove which was once the old drying ovens; plus a dishwasher, large oak table / chairs and underfloor heating. The lounge is on the first floor with a beamed ceiling, wood burning stove, TV and access to the balcony overlooking the river. There is also a twin bedroom with en suite shower room on this floor, plus a master bedroom on the top floor with king size bed and en suite bathroom. Outside, there is an enclosed garden to be enjoyed, plus ample car parking.
