Cambridge House Guest House

Cambridge House is a friendly and relaxed family-run guest house in the town of Windermere in the Lake District. In a fantastic location, on a residential road just off the main high street and a 15-20 minute walk from Lake Windermere, this delightful accommodation provides an ideal base for a short break or holiday. Owners Debbie and Dave offer a warm welcome and excellent hospitality.

This historic house, dating from 1873, offers many characterful original features which are coupled with a host of contemporary facilities. Guests can choose from beautifully-presented twin, double and family bedrooms for up to 4 people, all with attractive décor, en suite facilities, Wifi and a flat screen TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime, DVD and CD player. A self-check-in facility is available.

For the morning, a complimentary breakfast tray includes fresh continental items and there is an in-room fridge providing cold water, orange juice and milk. Romantic packages including champagne, roses, chocolates and / or cake can be arranged for special occasions. Guests are also more than welcome to sit out in the garden area and relax.

On-road parking is available, with permits subject to availability and a ‘pay and display’ close by which is free overnight. The railway and coach station are within a 5-minute walk and Cambridge House is on the doorstep of the many independent shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants in the town, as well as highly convenient for many attractions. Orrest Head and School Knott fells are within a 5-minute walk.
