Croftland Cottages offer 3 family-owned holiday cottages in the beautiful Lake District located in the village of Thornthwaite near Derwent Water. Offering stunning views of the surrounding countryside, these cottages provide excellent amenities for a perfect holiday. We are dog friendly.

All our properties offer contemporary furnishings and fittings to make your stay comfortable, whilst retaining original and charming features like oak beams and stone walls. All have en suite bedrooms, Wifi, private car parking, patio and secure bike storage, log burning stoves, and fully equipped kitchens. Squirrel Cottage is a cosy cottage for 2 with fabulous 4 poster bed, whereas Fox Howe and Jasmine can sleep up to 4. Both Squirrel and Fox Howe are next door to each other so can be booked separately or together for groups of 6.

Ideally located close to the popular towns of Keswick and Cockermouth with many independent shops, pubs and cafes, as well as amazing walks and cycling routes in the area. To follow, you can enjoy a lake cruise along the Derwent or enjoy a peaceful stroll in the forest park.
