Black Horse Beamish

The Black Horse Beamish is a fabulous Gastro Pub and restaurant offering luxurious self-catering holiday cottages close by. Nestled in beautiful countryside, they all offer a peaceful retreat in rural County Durham.

Red Row Retreat consists of a variety of 1 or 2 bedroomed self-catering suites, each individually designed to offer decadence and comfort. All have en suite facilities, outdoor terraces and Wifi. They can be combined to offer accommodation for up to 10 guests. Red Row Cottage Suites are the newest addition to the Black Horse Beamish; a recreation of the original Red Row cottages to create 12 luxury rooms. Huckleberry Cottage is just down the road from the Black Horse with amazing views across the hills. The master bedroom offers a comfortable French king-sized bed, plus a triple bedroom, fully fitted kitchen and lounge with fireplace. There is conservatory with large table and comfortable sofa looking out onto the garden.

We offer a variety of Stay and Dine offers that include accommodation, breakfast and a lunch or evening meal. The Black Horse can also offer the complete hospitality package for your wedding or special event.
