Gethin Lodge

Gethin Lodge is a former miners cottage dating back to 1865 in the picturesque village of Abercanaid offering 4-Star self-catering accommodation. Situated right on the Taff Trail, and on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, it is a perfect setting for a family, walking or biking holiday.

Carefully restored, the lodge offers a homely feel with modern amenities. There are 3 bedrooms; a master bedroom with double bed, a twin room and a room with bunk beds. All have their own TV and DVD. The Lounge has a 3 piece suite, stone fireplace with wood burner, HD TV, DVD, Wifi and dining area. There is a fully-fitted kitchen complete with dishwasher and kitchen table. Outside is a paved courtyard with gas barbecue, and large Mediterranean clay oven plus large patio area with table and chairs. There is also a double garage with secure bike storage and bike washing facilities.

Abercanaid is very convenient for Bike Park Wales, with the Brecon Mountain Railway, Climbing Centre, Cyfartha Park and museum a short drive away. Merthyr Tydfil is only 3 miles away offering local shops, restaurants and friendly pubs.
