The Whitewater Hotel and Leisure club is a great place to unwind and enjoy the Lake District. Situated in the picturesque village of Backbarrow adjacent to the River Leven, it was once the site of a Victorian cotton mill and also a Dolly Blue pigment factory. Today it offers luxurious accommodation, a fabulous spa and fine restaurant.

Our bedrooms combine the charm of the original building with contemporary comforts, and include family rooms and 4-poster rooms. All have en suite facilities, most have river views, satellite TV, free Wifi and beverage tray. Our Riverside Restaurant has a delightful seasonal menu of British classics with a vegetarian menu also available, or try the less formal Dolly Blue Bar and Grill.
