Howscales Cottages

Howscales Cottages are 5 beautiful self-catering holiday homes offering a fabulous location in the beautiful Eden Valley. Four of the cottages are renovated farm buildings located on a former 17th century farm at Howscales and have been awarded 4-Stars by Visit England. Our other, Aster Cottage, is located in the beautiful village of Kirkoswald, close to friendly pubs and a village shop. Owners Liz and Adrian live nearby and will ensure you have everything you need for a perfect stay.

All our cottages have central heating, handmade curtains, free Wifi, TV, DVD, log burning stove and well equipped kitchens. The Howscales Cottages are centred around a cobbled courtyard and surrounded by well-maintained gardens. Able to sleep from 2 to 6 people, there is a communal laundry room and secure storage for bicycles. Aster Cottage is an attractive stone cottage with an outside seating area looking out towards Raven Beck. Convenient for the Lake District and North Pennines, the historic town of Penrith is 10 miles away offering shops and restaurants.
