Welcome to Shrewsbury Lodge, a grand Victorian home offering bed and breakfast in Oxen Village outside Birkenhead. Dating back to 1874, this house with attractive gardens allows a peaceful and relaxing stay. We have been rated 3-Stars by AA and awarded a Certificate of Excellence by TripAdvisor guest reviews.
There are 15 well-appointed bedrooms; all with en suite facilities, TV, Wifi and beverage tray. We have single, double, twin and family rooms. We offer a delicious breakfast and also afternoon teas with homemade finger sandwiches and cake. The Lodge has ample car parking.
There are 2 delightful pubs in the village which serve excellent food, plus a Michelin-starred restaurant. Oxen is famous for its Secret Garden and we are only a few minutes from Birkenhead Park. There is golfing, spaceport and an art gallery nearby, with Liverpool just across the Mersey.
