Portland House

Portland House is a luxurious guest house offering bed and breakfast in the beautiful town of Keswick. A short walk from the Theatre by The Lake on Derwentwater and convenient for the town centre, this is a great choice of accommodation for exploring this area of the Lake District. Portland has been awarded a Visit England 4-Star Silver Award and a Breakfast Award, so you will be well looked after by your hosts Denise and Rod.

We have 6 guest rooms, all furnished in a contemporary style with en suite facilities, luxury toiletries, free Wifi, TV and a hospitality tray with our own home-made shortbread. We have single, double and flexible rooms that can be arranged as a king size or twin rooms as required. Our ground floor flexible room is especially suitable for guests with disabilities or wheelchair users, with its walk-in shower in the en suite.

Enjoy a sumptuous cooked Cumberland or vegetarian breakfast and gourmet buffet of continental options. We use Fairtrade and the best of locally-produced products where possible. If you are planning a full day, we can also provide packed lunches for you.
