Abbot's Fireside Inn & Restaurant

The Abbots Fireside Inn and Restaurant is a historic mid-15th century inn offering a welcoming stay in the village of Elham. Offering guest rooms, great food and fine beverages, we have been welcoming guests here throughout the centuries, including the Duke of Wellington before he faced Napoleon. We also offered a hiding place for King Charles II and the Duke of Richmond!

Our double and family-sized rooms have all been named after famous people from history who have stayed at Abbots Fireside. All have en suite facilities or private bathrooms, free Wifi, TV, hairdryer and refreshment tray. Our bar offers a great to relax in front of the large medieval fireplace or you can sample some classic dishes in our restaurant. We can cater for parties, special events and have special themed nights which are always popular.
