Hawthorn Farm is a delightful bed and breakfast with a holiday cottage in a beautiful farmhouse dating back to the 16th century. Grade II listed and the former residence of the Duke of Devonshire, it is thought to be one of the oldest buildings in Buxton. Today, you can expect excellent hospitality from current owners Paul and Sarah.

Our bed and breakfast facilities are based in the farmhouse and the barn conversion across the courtyard. All are equipped with free Wifi, TV and beverage tray. You can enjoy a delicious breakfast in the morning from a selection of continental options and a full English breakfast. We can also cater for special diets.

Lavender Cottage is a beautifully-restored barn offering a comfortable stay for up to 6 guests. The accommodation is within walking distance to the centre of Buxton and we have an agreement with the nearby golf club where we can provide stay and play accommodation for golfing holidays.
