The Weary Friar Inn

The Weary Friar Inn is an old coaching inn dating back to the 12th century in the village of Pillaton, conveniently located close to the beautiful Tamar Valley and only 10 miles from the extensive sandy beach along Whitesands Bay. With a rustic bar, excellent food and comfortable guest rooms you can still expect the same warm welcome that guests and travellers have enjoyed throughout the centuries.

There are 13 rooms all offering en suite facilities with Freeview TV, DVD player and refreshments. You can enjoy a cooked breakfast in the morning to set you up for the day. Our bar offers a friendly place to enjoy a beverage with a menu of home cooked pub classics available. We are popular with cyclists, walkers, business guests or people looking for a stopover and we can also accommodate wedding receptions, parties or special events.
