The Cumberland Inn

A warm welcome awaits guests at The Cumberland Inn; a pub and restaurant with guest accommodation in the centre of Alston, within the North Pennines AONB. The inn has a well-stocked bar, including a range of real ales and there are a wide selection of home-cooked meals with options for vegetarians. There is on-site car parking.

There are 5 cosy guest rooms; double, twin and family-sized. All have en suite facilities, a TV, free Wifi, a hairdryer and refreshments tray for making hot drinks. Guests can enjoy a delicious breakfast in our restaurant, including a full cooked English to help start your day.

Alston is a remote but beautiful small Cumbrian town. The South Tynedale Heritage Railway, England’s highest narrow gauge railway, is close by and there are river walks along the Tyne and Nent. You can access The Pennine Way and C2C cycle route long distance trails from Alston.
