Once the Royal Oak Hotel, a former coaching inn welcoming various famous guests from history, including Wordsworth and Sir Walter Scott, today it has been refurbished to offer a stylish holiday apartment with scenic views across the fells.

Available all year round, this duplex apartment has central heating, double glazing, a large lounge on the second floor with Wifi, TV, DVD player, games console and double aspect windows offering stunning views. There is a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine and separate dining room. A dryer is located on the landing. There is a double bedroom, room with bunk beds and family bathroom on the first floor.

There is secure parking available and the shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants are virtually on the doorstep. You can also play a round of golf, go fishing or try one of the many excellent walks or cycling trails from the town. There are galleries and museums such as the Derwent Pencil Museum and Threlkeld Quarry and Mining Museum.
