Thornthwaite Grange

Thornthwaite Grange is a welcoming bed and breakfast in the village of Thornthwaite, a few miles from Keswick. Nestled near the Whinlatter Forest and surrounded by amazing views of the fells, we are perfectly placed for all outdoors enthusiasts and holidaymakers looking for a place to stay. The B & B is 4-Star rated by Visit England and owners Clive and Sue will ensure you have an enjoyable stay.

Our 5 guest rooms are beautifully-presented and spacious, incorporating the 18th century architecture with modern comforts. The rooms are all named after local fells. Haystacks has luxurious furnishings and a super king-sized bed, en suite bathroom and views of Skiddaw from the dual-aspect windows. Blencathra is a double and Catbells is a king-sized double. Skiddaw Suite can accommodate up to 5 guests and spans the whole of the second floor, with a private lounge, 2 bedrooms and mini bar. The Whinlatter Suite sleeps 3 and has a comfortable suite with double room and separate bed-sit room.

All bedrooms have en suite facilities, Wifi and a beverage tray with dogs allowed in specified rooms. You can enjoy a hearty breakfast in the morning made from fresh local ingredients. Our gardens provide a peaceful and relaxing place to relax where you can watch the lots of local wildlife. There is plenty of private car parking as well as regular buses from the village. Thornthwaite Grange is also on the C2C cycle route.
