Stay at the birthplace of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas at Number 5 Cwmdonkin Drive in Swansea. Located in the Uplands area of the city, Thomas was born in the front bedroom in 1917 and stayed at the address until 1937. Today through careful restoration work, the house retains its Edwardian character with artefacts from the era.

Voted the Best Small Attraction in Swansea 2019, guests can stay in Nancy’s Room where Dylan Thomas was actually born, with twin beds; or Dylan’s Room, for single guests. DJ and Florrie’s Room and the Best Bedroom both have double beds. The whole house can also be booked out for up to 7 guests.

Experience Dinner at Dylan’s where guests can enjoy an Edwardian-style dinner, all freshly prepared in the kitchen. Afternoon tea, guided tours and special events can be arranged for birthdays or celebrations. Please see our website for further details and do find time to visit the house even if you are not staying.
