Darley House is a grand Edwardian country home offering luxurious self-catering accommodation in the town of Darley Dale, on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Surrounded by an acre of well-maintained gardens, this wonderful house offers a holiday home for up to 14 guests and is included in Sawday’s Special Places to Stay.

In the entrance hall, guests will be impressed at the grandeur of the decor, from the colourful Victorian tiled floor, to the wooden fireplace housing a wood burning stove and the characterful grandfather clock. The drawing room provides a comfortable place to relax and enjoy the open fire, or guests can relax in the conservatory which was built by Sir Joseph Paxton who designed The Crystal Palace in 1851.

The house also has a TV room, games room, contemporary kitchen and a dining area. There are 6 individually-named and comfortable bedrooms, some of which are en suite. Outside in the walled garden, there is a lawned area for croquet and a patio for al fresco dining. Darley House has played host to many special celebrations and specialised services such as a personal chef, hot tub hire and photographer can be arranged for your stay.
