The Marquis of Granby

Welcome to The Marquis of Granby in the picturesque Kent village of Alkham which is nestled in between Dover and Folkestone. A 200-year-old country inn, visitors will find original exposed wooden beams, large fireplaces with roaring fires, friendly staff, 10 superb guest bedrooms, a bar, restaurant and free parking.

All 10 rooms are well-appointed and have their own beautiful unique style, name and character. Each is equipped with a king size or twin beds, en suite facilities and a beverage tray. Some rooms have features such as a roll top or antique copper bath, a decorative fireplace or separate sitting room. There is also a ground floor room with a private entrance. Our restaurant offers a range of delicious homemade meals throughout the day to tantalise your tastebuds! Our up-to-date menus are all online, including our children’s menu. Breakfast includes a full range of dishes including a Full English, Eggs Benedict, avocado and poached egg on sourdough toast, a bacon or sausage sandwich, pancakes, croissants and more.
