Weybourne is an archetypal English village on the Norfolk coast. It is surrounded by fields, woodland and heathland and straddles the A149 coast road, 3 miles west of Sheringham, within the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There is a shop, general store and The Ship public house, which serves ales and hot food. The village is a popular base for exploring the local countryside and coast and for walking, cycling and birdwatching. Just to the north is Weybourne beach with its steeply shelving pebble beach, said once to be the haunt of smugglers! The shingle bank is ideal for angling. The Muckleburgh Collection is a military museum sited on a former military camp at Weybourne and is the largest privately owned military museum in the UK. Another local attraction is the North Norfolk Railway which runs from Sheringham through Weybourne to Holt. Also known as the Poppy Line, this well-preserved steam railway provides a fantastic day out.
