The Pheasant

A warm and welcoming place, The Pheasant is a 17th century coaching inn situated in a scenic location near Bassenthwaite Lake in Cumbria. AA 3-Star rated, situated in a rural setting just 5 miles east of Cockermouth in the Lake District, it provides a comfortable place to stay for stopovers, short breaks and holidays.

All of our guest rooms have en suite facilities, complimentary sleep kit, Freeview TV, Wifi, hairdryer and beverage tray. There are single, twin, double, family-rooms and dog-friendly rooms available. A full English breakfast is included in the room rates to ensure a great start to the day.

This traditional pub serves a range of real ales, classic malts, fine wines and more. In our restaurant, only the best of Cumbrian fayre is used in a delicious menu of dishes.
