The White Hart

The White Hart is a community-owned local pub and accommodation located on the High Street, in the centre of the historic village of Alton, near to Alton Towers. Come and sample ales from local Midland breweries or relax in our friendly coffee shop.

There is parking available at the rear of the pub. The bedrooms comprise a double room and family rooms, each with a double and single bed, with an extra child bed available. Each has an en-suite bathroom, free Wifi, tea and coffee making facilities and a TV. An ironing board, iron and hairdryer are also available. Breakfast includes a choice of cereals, juices, a Full English or any combination you would like.

We are an ideal base for walkers and cyclists, being on the Staffordshire Way and close to off-road woodland and walking tracks. We are close to the Churnet Valley, and in easy reach of the picturesque areas of the Peak District National Park, such as the Manifold Valley, Dovedale, Ilam Hall park and the dramatic scenery of the Roaches. The market town of Ashbourne with its antique shops is a short drive away.
