Soulton Hall is a historic country house in Shropshire, located 2 miles east of the town of Wem, on the B5065. Built in 1556, Soulton has been the home of the Ashton family for 450 years, and is now run by John and Ann Ashton, and their son, Tim. Set on a 500-acre estate which includes a farm and woodland, this Elizabethan manor offering a range of accommodation, is 14 miles from Shrewsbury.

Our guest rooms are situated in the Main House, Cedar Lodge or Carriage House. All are elegantly decorated with a mix of classic and contemporary furnishings. There are 4-poster rooms, king size rooms, family rooms and suites with their own lounges. Each has their own lavish bathroom. We also have a Garden Room with double, king size bedroom and sofa bed in the lounge.

If you prefer self-catering facilities, Keeper’s Cottage is a former 15th century gamekeeper’s residence accommodating 4 people in 2 bedrooms. Ploughman’s and Herdsman Cottages are 2 Victorian homes sleeping 4 and our luxurious Shooter’s Lodge sleeps 6. We host various activities and events throughout the year and are a popular venue for weddings and functions. Please see our website for a detailed list of our accommodation and services.
