Seahouses is a large village within the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Seahouses is known to many as 'The Gateway to the Farne Islands' which is one of Europe's most important bird sanctuaries it is home to more than 20 different species including Puffins and Terns, and it is also home to massive seal colonies. There are also plenty of other things to do from a base in Seahouses, from watersports and horse riding to fishing, golf (including crazy golf!) and bird watching. There are glorious beaches to the North and to the South of the Town, with most popular being to the North of the harbour. This wide sandy beach, backed by golden sand dunes has the glorious back drop of Bamburgh Castle.
