Prestatyn is a beautiful seaside town filled with beaches and attractions, making it a firm favourite with visitors. The town has 3 beaches that join up to form a glorious 5-mile stretch of sand. Central Beach is wide and north-facing, popular with sailors and windsurfers, and backed by a wide promenade, much-loved by cyclists. You might spend the day enjoying a bit of retail therapy at Prestatyn Shopping Park or in the High Street where there are plenty of great shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Other Prestatyn attractions include the Nova Centre, The Scala Cinema, North Wales Bowls Centre, the Astrobowl and Prestatyn Golf Club. Why not walk the Offas Dyke Path; a 176-mile footpath and National Trail which roughly follows the border between Wales and England. The path ends at Prestatyn but on the exact same spot, another footpath begins; the North Wales Path. Prestatyn also has many historical landmarks. In the nearby village of Trelawnyd is The Gop which is one of the largest neolithic mounds in the country. There is also the beautifully preserved Roman Bath House just outside the town. Less than five miles from the town is the spectacular Rhuddlan Castle.
