Hotels, B&B's and Self Catering in Haverfordwest

A bustling and lively market town, Haverfordwest is the ancient county town of Pembrokeshire; perfectly situated to the stunning coast of this area. The castle is in the centre of Haverfordwest and dominates the town, along with the Western Cleddau river that runs through the middle of the town. Built in 1120 and situated within the castle wall (and previously the old prison governors house), is the town museum housing exhibitions of art and local history. Down river on the west bank are the ruins of an Augustinian Priory that have recently been excavated and repaired. They occupy a pleasant setting beside the river, a short walk from the town centre. Haverfordwest is a lively town with plenty of shops and outlying retail parks. There are great cafes, pubs and restaurants, as well as an award-winning farmers market every Friday. Popular activities include golf, surfing, kayaking, horse riding, walking and diving to name but a few.
