Hotels, B&B's and Self Catering in Tenby

Tenby is a popular holiday destination, and it is not hard to see why! Located on a headland with sandy beaches either side, Tenby is picture-perfect, with pastel-coloured houses typical of a fishing village, interspersed with white elegant Georgian mansions. Picturesque Tenby has been a favourite subject for artists down the centuries. The main part of town still has its Norman-built walls with medieval streets. The imposing church of St Marys and its lofty spire served as a beacon for the many ships entering the harbour. A visit to Tenby Museum on Castle Hill opens a window to a rich history, giving pointers to those who wish to visit ancient sites and old buildings. Tenby has golden sand and spectacular scenery. Tenby North and South Beach are both perfect for family days out sunbathing, swimming or playing beach games. You will find plenty of cafes, pubs, ice-cream parlours and gift shops in the town. Walk along South Beach toward Giltar Point and the start of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. Boats sail from the harbour to Caldey Island while St Catherines Island is tidal. The annual Ironman Wales competition is hosted annually in Tenby during September.
