Swainsley Farm

Set within the Peak District overlooking the Manifold Valley, Swainsley Farm offers The Coach House, The Haybarn and The Old Byre for wonderful self-catering holidays. Visit England 4 and 5-Star Gold rated, these 3 holiday cottages are located between Butterton and Hulme End, on the Derbyshire / Staffordshire border.

The Coach House is the largest cottage, sleeping 6 or 7 guests in 3 bedrooms, including a double room in the gallery area with a vaulted beamed ceiling, overlooking the living room. The Haybarn is a 2-bedroomed cottage for 4 or 5 people, whereas The Old Byre is a cosy bolthole for 2 guests, with an upstairs double bedroom.

These properties retain an abundance of original features such as beamed ceilings and exterior stone walls, whilst providing contemporary comforts including a kitchen with dishwasher, wood burning stove, TV in the living room, Wifi access, luxury bathroom, a seating area on the courtyard and use of a shared paddock.

There is a pub in Butterton; with Buxton, Bakewell, Leek and Ashbourne all c. 10 miles away offering markets and lots of amenities and attractions. Dovedale, Chatsworth House, Matlock Bath, Alton Towers and many other sights are within a short drive. The area is also very popular for a wide range of outdoors pursuits.
