Town Information

Betws-y-Coed is a picturesque village surrounded by dense forest, providing a gateway to the majesty of Snowdonia National Park in North Wales. Nestled at the heart of the Conwy Valley, where 4 rivers converge, the village attracts many visitors. It is a popular and magical place where you can experience fresh mountain air, walk or cycle the many trails, absorb some Welsh history and much more. Eat locally-sourced and award-winning food and drink in the diverse range of cafes, restaurants and pubs, or browse our independent shops with crafts, clothing, gifts, and local homemade produce on offer. Visit our collection of outdoor gear shops and art galleries displaying talented Welsh artists. Gwydir Forest provides the perfect setting for woodland adventures, and Swallow Falls, a magnificent waterfall system and beauty spot, is just a few miles out of the village. Snowdonia is fast becoming the adventure activity centre of the UK where you can experience the worlds fastest zip wire or bounce on some underground trampolines. Tree Top Adventure and Go Below are also great for families.
