Hotels, B&B's and Self Catering in Gunnislake

Gunnislake is a large village in east Cornwall, located close to Devon border. It is situated within the Tamar Valley ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’, approximately ten miles (16 km) north of Plymouth. Gunnislake owes its size and economic development to the great mining boom of the nineteenth century. The industry is no longer active, although its history and impact on the area can be seen at the award-winning museum and visitor centre at Morwhellham Quay. Gunnislake railway station is the northern terminus of the Tamar Valley Line, which connects the villages of the Tamar Valley with Plymouth. Today, Gunnislake has a range of local businesses and its own excellent week-long festival, encompassing a variety of events throughout a week-long celebration, beginning on the first Wednesday in August.
