Belford is a village about halfway between Alnwick and Berwick-upon-Tweed, a few miles inland from the east coast. It is surrounded by rich pastoral farmland, and to the west of the village is the rock climbing location Bowden Doors. The location is perfect for a boat trip to the Farne Islands. Holy Island is to the north and Alnwick, with its famous castle and gardens, is to the south. Inland, are the Cheviots to explore and you can explore historical houses such as Cragside.
