The Hoe provides stunning views across Plymouth Sound, with the famous Smeaton’s Tower lighthouse on view. You’ll also see the glorious Art Deco Tinside Lido pool. Admire the statue of local hero Sir Francis Drake and visit The Royal Citadel, the 17th century fortress. The Hoe is host to many fantastic annual events including the Plymouth Armed Forces Weekend and the British Firework Championships. There is always lots to see on the water, including warship movements, ferries, fishing boats and smaller sailing boats. The Fastnet yacht race ends here. Sutton Harbour is perfectly placed to make the most of all Plymouth has to offer, including The National Marine Aquarium, the largest aquarium in the UK.
