Number One is a Regency-period building which was originally built as a Royal Navy Admirals house in this famous seafaring city. Our guest house is in an excellent location, close to transport links, including the ferry port and many of the attractions of Plymouth. At Number One, we have the benefit of off-street parking. Run by the hosts Erica and Paul, who pride themselves on the highest standards of guest service, you will always be warmly welcomed and made to feel like you are home away from home!
There are 13 en-suite bedrooms, single, twin, double, and a superior room (with super king-size bed) which are all elegant and stylish and have Freeview TV, Wifi and a hospitality tray. Breakfast comprises a selection of Continental choices; a delicious Full English; ham, eggs and sauteed potatoes or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.
At the end of the road from Number One, you find yourself on the beautiful promenade at the Hoe looking out over the Plymouth Sound. You are also a short walk from the Barbican and other tourist spots. This city has excellent shopping, and there are lots of diverse restaurants, cafes and pubs to enjoy. It is home to Plymouth Gin distillery, Plymouth Arts Centre and the largest aquarium in the UK. Visit the Mayflower Steps, Smeatons Tower Lighthouse and many more.
