On the edge of the Peak District, in Kniveton, The Closes Caravan Park has pitches for seasonal long term stays only, in a beautifully-maintained site with trees and well-manicured lawns. Close to many scenic walking routes and cycleways, including the Tissington Trail, the park is ideal for outdoors enthusiasts.
All pitches are equipped with electric hook-up and there are clean toilets, hot showers, a washing up area and chemical disposal point. Caravans, motorhomes and tents can all be accommodated. There is a pub called The Red Lion in the village which has a food menu and serves a range of local ales.
Carsington Water is just over 2 miles from The Closes, providing an accessible visitor centre, plus opportunities for walking, cycling, fishing, wildlife, birdwatching and trying many exciting water sports. Ashbourne has shops, restaurants and cafes, with a leisure centre, galleries and golf course.
