A little information about Cumbria

The Lake District, a region and national park in northwest England, is a popular holiday destination. It’s known for its glacial ribbon lakes, rugged fell mountains and historic literary associations. Market towns such as Kendal, Keswick and Ambleside are bases for exploring the area and home to traditional inns, galleries of local art and outdoor equipment shops. This area is truly a walkers paradise, there are so many beautiful areas and the scenic views are second to none. The area as a whole is packed full of attractions and outdoor activities not to mention, mountains, valleys, villages, towns, coastline and of course lakes! Cumbria is the most north-western county in England, bordering onto Scotland. The county of Cumbria consists of six districts (Allerdale, Barrow-in-Furness, Carlisle, Copeland, Eden and South Lakeland). Cumbria has something to offer all visitors, young and old, those seeking adventure, and those seeking peace and quiet.
